There are loads of traditional music and dance events through the year in Brittany.

 The Morbihan guide covers us - (just - we are right in the middle of Brittany in the departement of Morbihan on the border with Cote d’Armor departement.) There are some medium and large scale festivals as well, especially En Arwen at Cléguérec (10 mins) 27-29 May this year (2005), and a glance at the program shows the all-night dance or “Fest Noz” leanings of these events, which contrasts sharply with the early to bed habits of the country folks mid-week. There is the usual large helping around the 14th of July (eg Mûr de Bretagne 13-17 July, (10 mins) and everywhere else in France !); the one-week long Breton/ Celtic festivals at Quimper (end of July) and Lorient (first week in August) being within 2 hour and 1 hour drives respectively.

We keep track of all the events great and small and are always keen to offer advice on them - we attend many ourselves as do many of our regular guests, generally also dancers or musicians.
