Thursday 4th August 2005 (not 2004 as on the BBC Radio 2 website!) and will have a small Festival of his own. We will involve the village as much as possible and have already got the Mayor's approval to use the village hall and a ceilidh-sized restaurant in the village. We want Breton dance as well as contributions from our British friends, hopefully with some remuneration.

Other major events at around the same time include the Lorient Interceltic Festival, around 45 mins drive away. It's jammed and you don't want to know how much the season ticket would be if they had one, but you can dip in and see how real sponsorship affects a festival (Guinness were putting in 1 million pounds until recntly!) Also the Son et Lumiere at the Abbaye de Bon Repos and loads of other festivals and summer fun (Lakeside beaches and bars within 3-4 miles)
